I LOVE following the fashion of big red carpet events, looking at what everyone is wearing – and who! Of course it’s not just the dress (or top and skirt, or pant suit – it’s the 21st century!!!) that matters, it’s the whole combo of hair and make up – shoes and bag, etc!
The women on the red carpet yesterday looked amazing, and I have to say I’m rather picky and I haven’t seen yet and outfit that I’m not keen on… YET!
I’ll start on my favourites of the night!
The first of my favourites is Gigi Hadid looking beeeeaaaautiful in Spring 2015 Versace. She’s just a vision! This was taken at the Elton John Oscars party yesterday. I think it’s fun and sexy, and the colour is perfect on her! What do you think?
The goddess herself, J-Lo! Looking phenomenal as usual in Elie Saab (first picture) at the Oscar award ceremony. As you may know I’m obsessed with Elie Saab, I’m in love with lots of beading, pastel colours, tulle – the lot!! She looks amazing!
The second picture is at the after party. Again she looks flawless, I love the added fur scarf (!?) it’s glam and fabulous – perfect for the event!
The next is Emma Stone, I really think she gets fashion and knows what looks great on her and suits her colouring. I love how this colour looks on her with her ginger hair and pale skin, she looks outstanding! She never gets it wrong! She’s wearing Elie Saab and I think the gown is gorgeous, simply stunning!!!
One of my firm favourites is Chrissy Teigen in this stuuuunnnniiiiiiinnng pale blue gown with a side split (a rather high side split!) with heavy embellishment. I just think the colour on her skin tone is beautiful and the long sleeves makes the dress look sexy, not slutty. It’s super elegant and I think she looked amazing! My favourite of the night I might say! What about you?
Jennifer Aniston looking gorgeous in this Versace gown. It’s age appropriate – however – in her late forties she still has it!!! Keeping it simple, but elegant and classy.
These were some of my favourites from last night! What about you? What do you think of my picks?!
It was my friends birthday on Saturday so we all went out to celebrate! If you look back to my previous post ‘My Bandage Dress’ I wore a gorgeous bandage two piece from online shop My Bandage Dress.
I wore nude ‘Bianca’ bandage skirt and white ‘Milly’ crop top, both available on the website – I would recommend to anyone! They fit amazingly, and are so flattering!
I paired my top and skirt with my Miss Selfridge nude and gold heels (£49) and my Dorothy Perkins gold clutch bag (£10).
I also wore my gold DKNY watch which I don’t usually do as I’m scared of damaging it or loosing it! But I thought it is my only piece of jewellery that would look as good!
With my hair and make up, it kept my hair sleek and straight using my GHD’s to do so, and then used some hair oil to tame any wild stray hairs and to soften the tips of my hair. (You can find great hair oils in any drug store – boots/superdrug).
I like to make my eyes stand out when I do my make up, so to do so I use eyelure lashes, with a slick of black liner to define them. As I was wearing nude and white I kept my eyeshadow my neutral. I used white in the corner of my eyes to widen them and beige and browns on the rest of the lid of my eye.
My eyebrows I just define slightly more with an MUA (available in superdrug/boots) eyebrow pencil in brown.
To give my face slightly more dimension I used beige shimmery eyeshadow on my temples, down my nose and on my cheekbones to highlight my features.
Love to know what you think of my look! Have a lovely day! X
As some of you may have read – I’m off travelling in less than a month with my boyfriend! We’re flying into Thailand, then travelling around Burma, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia and I am soooo excited!
Of course when you’re going away you NEED a new bikini, am I right girls? And a new bag.. And some sunglasses (even though we already have seven pairs).
Sadly though I’m limited to my rucksack so I’ll be cutting down!
However I did buy this little beauty to see me through those beach days;
This is the Tilly Sunburst Triangl bikini that I’ve had my eyes on for too long – and finally it’s all mine!
The material is neoprene – a thick scuba material that fits snugly. This is the type of material to last you years and not fall apart use after use. I’d recommend to anyone!!
I love the mix and match look of this bikini – the top is black netted mesh contrasting with the bright orange of the bottoms.
I can’t wait to wear this little number on the sandy beaches of South East Asia.
Let me know what you think!
