New Sunnies!

Image

I’m going away in August and I’ve been creating a massive long list of holiday clothes and essentials I will need! I have no idea why but I’ve completely lost all my sunglasses, I do this every year as soon as it gets sunny and appropriate to wear sunglasses again, mine just seem to disappear!

Being on a budget I’ve been looking on eBay but all the shipping times take so long and I’m SO impatient. So I headed to Primark and picked up these babies for £2 each!!!!! Such a great bargain.

I love these browny framed over-sized ones, they look like great copies of ones you can find in Topshop or even designer ones! These are more ‘my style’ and I’ve always loved over sized sunglasses. They’re a safe option for me!

Although, these matte black circular ones are very cute and I thought I’d try something different! They’re very cool, and I think they’d make any outfit a bit quirky and brings something a bit different to the look!

There’s still a lot to get on my list for holiday, but thankfully sunglasses are ticked off the list and I have a bit more in my budget to spend on clothes! Roll on August!!

OOTD

Image

Here is my OOTD from the other day – sorry I’m a bit late in posting! I’m wearing all white as it’s summery and fresh, and white is a great colour for keeping you cool in the hotter months, as it reflects the light instead of absorbing it – like black!

I’m wearing my Lipsy top that I got a few months ago in the sale, I love it! It dresses up an outfit so easily, it has mesh at the top with a sweetheart neckline and then floral lace begins and carries on for the rest of the top. It’s very fitted – which I love – and comes in at the waist and comes out again in a peplum style.

I’m wearing my River Island white jeans – as seen in previous posts – and I love them as they fit really well and don’t bag at the knees like others! Wearing white jeans is great in the months leading up to hotter days as it’s too hot to wear darker colours or anything too heavy, but too hot for bare legs (or haven’t tanned or shaved – like me) as it keeps you cool and you look good!

I’ve chosen my gold sandals from Next – I’ve had them for years and they’re so comfy and still in great shape. They’re so simple and go with everything – I bought them for £20 and they were such a good buy. I’d definitely recommended Next for summer and holiday clothes.

I’m wearing my DKNY watch – as always – I love to accessorise with gold. I love stackable rings and midi rings especially. Necklaces of different lengths and wearing a few together – looks effortless and dresses up an outfit instantly.

What are you wearing for Summer?

Summer

It was SO lovely today, the sun was shining so finally I could wear something semi-summery! I wore my white skinny River Island jeans, as they’re light and keep me cool but still look summery! My cami top is from Topshop and I love the neon orange colour! I got it a few sizes bigger so it was slightly baggy and low, I love this for Summer! I paired this with my gold t-bar sandals from Next, they go with everything! I would always advise to invest in a great pair of sandals!! Hopefully this weather is here to stay!

Out for drinks

On Tuesday it was my friends 18th, so we all decided to head into town and go to a few bars to celebrate! I thought I’d go with pants instead of a skirt or dress as a bit of a change, I never cover my legs when I’m out. I went with these faux skinny leather pants from Miss Selfridge, I got them in the sale a few years ago, I think they were £40! My cami is from River Island, I love the extra straps to make it a bit different – that was £12 I think! I got it a few weeks ago so its still in stock! My gorgeous beaded jacket is from Topshop, I’m so in love. The whole thing is beaded and it weighs a tonne! It was originally for £120, but I found it for £30!!!!! That isn’t including student discount either, I’m a little bargain hunter. My strappy shoes are from New Look, you can’t see but the heel at the back is all gold whilst the rest of the shoe is in black suede, I thought they were more suitable for a bar than my higher heels. I wore my gold DKNY watch and my gold Swarovski earings, to keep the colours together! What do you think?
